About Boise Rec Fest 2010

Nearly 15,000 recreationalists attended Idaho’s first annual recreational celebration held June 26-27, 2010 in Ann Morrison Park in Boise.

Boise Rec Fest 2010 featured:

• 88 exhibits
• 32 free recreation workshops
• 31 local acts and speakers on two stages
• 10 activity areas
• 3 Idaho wineries
• 14 local food vendors
• 200+ volunteers
• 45,000 event programs
• and much more...

Boise Rec Fest was covered by a wide variety of media, including four television networks, three weekly papers, two national magazines and a local radio program. See videos and news stories on the right.

Boise Rec Fest was widely promoted through a variety of mediums, including television and radio commercials, print ads, posters, electronic billboards, store displays, social media and much more. Our media partners included KTVB News Channel 7, Boise Weekly, Idaho Business Review, Citadel Broadcasting, Creative Indoor Advertising, BoiseEvents.net and Red Sky Public Relations. Many of our sponsors and exhibitors also promoted the festival, including Swire Coca-Cola, Idaho Lottery, Tates Tents & Events, Wings Center and more. And Boise Rec Fest had nearly 1,500 Facebook fans, 500 Twitter followers, 20,000 website hits and 300 email subscribers.

In addition to recreational activities, Boise Rec Fest featured live music, food, beer, and wine. Go Listen Boise and Underaid helped book 31 local acts on two stages. We proudly served Idaho potatoes, Idaho wines, Coca-Cola beverages, Pabst Blue Ribbon, Sierra Nevada and Mike’s Hard Lemonade. The Idaho Lottery supported our beer garden and Boise Co-Op ran our wine garden.
